Athletic Philosophy

 

Code of Ethics for Activities & Athletics

 

  1. Student participants will conduct themselves as young ladies and gentlemen displaying virtues and behavior in line with the philosophy of the school.
  2. Participants must attend all practices/meetings unless absent from school or unless excused in advance by the coach for a legitimate reason.
  3. Any student who is absent or who comes to school after third period may not participate in a game, practice, or activity on that day unless given permission in writing by the principal because of an unusual circumstance.
  4. A Friday absence makes one ineligible for participation in a weekend activity.
  5. Students who are suspended may not participate in an activity.
  6. Students who report late to school the morning after an evening game or activity are subject to suspension from the activity by the principal.
  7. Students ride to games or activities in school vans or chartered buses. Students riding home after events (which are not held at school) with parents or guardians must have the approval of a coach/moderator.
  8. Students are to insure that they observe the school’s eligibility policy for participation.
  9. Athletes are to ensure that they have the required physical examination before play.
  10. Athletes are to insure that they exercise good sportsmanship at all times regardless of their perception of the play of the other team, the actions of the referees, the fans, or the coaches.
